Trip Karlovy Vary

The town was founded in the 14th century by Charles IV. in the vicinity of hot springs. The original Gothic and Renaissance buildings were destroyed by a large fire in 1604.  Today’s appearance is a mixture of the Classicism, Art Noveau, Functionalism and Constructivism styles coming mostly from the 19th and the 20th century.

Karlovy Vary is mostly visited by people with problems of the motor system and the digestive track. The therapeutic treatments are complemented by drinking of mineral water, from 13 out of 60 mineral springs. The ideal place for drinking mineral water is the Thermal  spring colonnade with Mlynska colonnade being the best known. Galleries, museums and theatres also offer a wide range of possibilities for entertainment. The golf lovers can use the facilities of local golf ground. Moreover, the International film festival is held here every year.
