Trip Konopiště

It was built in the 13th century as an early Gothic castle. It was reconstructed in the Renaissance style and later on rebuilt into the Baroque chateau. The best-known owner of the chateau was Archduke Franz Ferdinand d’Este, crown prince of Austro-Hungarian Empire. He bought Konopiště in 1887 and 2 years later final reconstruction in the Romantic style took place. In total 3 options of guided tours will let you take a view of beautiful interiors. Very famous is Archduke d’Este’s armoury collection or clerical antiquities in St George Museum. Konopiště is surrounded with extensive English park where you can take a walk or enjoy a ride with carriage and pair. The chateau is very famous place for weddings. If you are a golfer, you shouldn’t forget to visit the Konopiště Golf Resort, heaven for golfers in the Czech Republic with 36 holes.
